DECKER, Richard (Timothy) – December 15, 1953 – August 14, 2015 at the age of 61. Loving son of the late Karl (2006) and Ruth (2002). Dear father to Matthew (Sandra) and Ryan. Loving and thoughtful grandfather to Gavin and Nolan, and dearest friend of Ruth Urquhart. Brother of Brian (Heather) Decker, Randy (Angela) Decker, Susan (Bruce) McDonald. Predeceased by Wayne Decker and Jennifer Caissie. Tim will be missed by many more friends and family. Tim was born in Clinton, and raised in Zurich Ontario. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, witty humour and love of sports. A special thank you to caregivers and friends at Caressant Care. Per his wishes cremation has taken place. In memory of Tim, an Open House was held at Susan and Bruce’s, Delaware ON.

DIGSBY, John James – Peacefully at Seasons Retirement Communities, Strathroy on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Frances “Jean” Digsby (2013). Father of John Jr. Digsby. Loving brother of David Warner (Marilyn) and Margaret McGuiness (Edward). Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his brother Alan Warner. At John’s request there will be no funeral service. Private interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of John are asked to consider LHSF – Cancer Program.

DOBBYN, Gordon Ray – On January 22, 2014 at Parkwood Hospital Western Counties Wing – Veteran’s Care, London, after a brief illness but brave fight, Gordon Ray Dobbyn, in his 95th year.

Loving father of Cathy Lambert (Brad), John Dobbyn (Jackie), Dave Dobbyn (Cathy) and Gerry Dobbyn. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren John, Matthew, Christopher, Michael, Michelle and Mark, and great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Brooklyn and Billie-Rose as well as several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his wife of forty-eight years Madeline (2001) and brothers Lorrie and Garth Dobbyn.

Born in Newbury, Ontario and raised in Blyth, Ontario, Ray moved to London and enlisted in the Canadian Army following the outbreak of World War II. After his service he fulfilled various roles before taking the position of Operator with London Transit which he held for twenty-eight years prior to retirement. Ray’s interests were many, including music, whether playing trumpet in the band, or the banjo in the living room – a gift which he passed on to his family. He also ingrained strong values in his family which he dearly loved.

Special thanks to the staff of Parkwood Hospital and Dr. Kavanagh. Heartfelt thanks to Ray’s long-time friend Barbara Martin. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation – The Veterans Care Fund, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.

Robert Edward Dodd

DODD, Robert Edward – In loving memory. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Robert Edward Dodd on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Victoria Hospital, London, in his 88th year.

Beloved husband of Connie Dodd for 43 years. Cherished father of Sue Zaple, Pat (Tony) Marko, Tony Dodd (Aly Moulton) and father-in-law of Karen Dodd. Proud grandfather of Jason Marko (Jamie-Lynn Challis), Matthew Marko, Erik Zaple, Krista Zaple, Ryan Dodd and Sydney Dodd and great-grandfather of Jacob Douglas Marko. Loving brother of Velma (Ken) Wellard. Predeceased by his sisters Eula Dodd, Evelyn Hodgins and Marian Verdon.

He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and beloved dogs Nikita and Reba. Bob was a devoted 32 year retired employee of London Transit. He was a current member of The Royal Canadian Legion Victory Branch #317 and a former member of Lambeth Legion Branch #501.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life held at The Royal Canadian Legion Victory Branch #317, 311 Oakland Avenue, London, at a later date. There will be a private family interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to The Lung Association or to The Alzheimer Society.

Dear father of Jack Donaldson (Sandra), Jim Donaldson (Susan) and Robert Donaldson (Lynda). Proud grandpa of Jim Donaldson, Amy and Matthew Donaldson, Angela and Kelly Donaldson. Papa-great of Conner and Savannah Donaldson, Piper and Georgia Jeffery. Predeceased by his parents and siblings. DRINKWALTER, James Herbert – Peacefully at his residence James Herbert Drinkwalter passed into Glory Saturday March, 23rd 2013 in his 79th year. Jim will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 53 years Lillian (nee Hall), his 2 sons David (Pauline), Stephen (Christina) and two very special granddaughters Nicole Cherise and Candice Sharron whom he dearly loved. Jim is survived by his sister Jean Ricketts and her husband Stephen. Jim was predeceased by his parents Helen (nee Culp) and Herbert, his brother Donald, his sister Doris Burridge, and his dearly loved daughter Karen Lee Drinkwalter. Jim’s life was one well lived. He proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 26 years and saw a lot of the world. Upon retiring in 1982, he drove for the London Transit Commission until his retirement in 1999. Donations can be made to the Cardiac Care Centre or the Egerton Street Church Building fund or a charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.
