HAGGERTY, Roderick Thomas – Rod Haggerty passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at University Hospital in London. Beloved husband of Lynn Haggerty and dear father of Pam (Joe) Cavaliere, Scott (Nicole) Haggerty, Michelle (Chris) Wilson, Sean Miller & Robert Miller. Grandfather to Nicholas, Katrina, Jack, Noah, Cole & Leah. Predeceased by siblings Joe (Rev.Canon Marian) Haggerty, Steve (Angie) Haggerty and survived by his sisters Marlene Kepic, Mary Margaret Gram and Barbara (Manfred) Jacob, and his brother Duncan (Joan) Haggerty. Loved by all his nieces and nephews. At his request there will be no funeral service. Donations may be made to Salvation Army. The family would like to extend an extra special thank you to the caring staff in the Intensive Care Unit at University Hospital.
HANNIGAN, Gerald Ivan – Age 82, went to be with his Lord and Saviour and join his precious wife Gladys (2010) on January 17th, 2012 after a long and difficult journey with Alzheimer’s. Gerry is dearly loved by his children Carl and Nancy Hannigan and Dave and Cindy Oakes, 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He lived a full and rich life full of faith, friends and family. He worked for 34 years for LTC and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Hill, William “Bill” Nelson – Suddenly but peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Village on the Ridge Nursing Home in Ridgetown William “Bill” Nelson Hill of West Lorne passed away at the age of 87. Loving husband of Barbara “Bonnie” Jannison for 35 years. Beloved father of Linda, Joan Marie, the late Billy, Cathy, Jimmy and Shawn. Sadly missed by his grandchildren and great grandchildren. HOWARD, Norma Louise – Passed away on Friday, January 17 in her 69th year. Beloved wife of John Gillespie. Dear mother of Bonnie (Cam) McRae and Mike (Sharon) Howard, Greg Howard and Gord (Shari) Hopper. Gordon Angus Mackay
Gordon Angus Mackay passed away peacefully at McKinney Place on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by his wife, Margaret Ellen Mackay (2006); lovingly remembered by children, Dawn Mackay; Sandra (Kris Clements); Wendy (Dan Robinson); Kevin (Sue) Mackay; son-in-law, Ian; grandchildren, Alexandra (Randy), Jennifer (Jason), Ben and Michelle; great-grandchildren, Marshall, Spencer, Bryce, Braeden and Hayla. Predeceased by daughter, Karen (2013). Gordon retired from the RCAF and later drove bus for the London Transit Commission. He served as Poppy Chair and Vice-President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 173 Osoyoos. Gord was predeceased by his parents, Keith and Wilma, and his sister Karen MacLean. Survived by his sister, Lynn Skea.
Gord was born in Seaforth, Ontario, but spent many years working for the London Transit Commission. He had several good friends, both in Seaforth and London, and will be missed by many.

McFARLANE, Leonard – Suddenly, but peacefully at home, on Sunday, November 4, 2012 in his 72nd year. Devoted husband to Donna for 44 years. Carson Robert McGill
McGILL, Carson Robert – Passed away peacefully on January 2nd, 2013 in his 76th year after a long battle with Alzheimer Disease. Carson is survived by his mother Catherine (nee Fowler) and predeceased by his father James (1989). He is predeceased by his loving devoted wife, Doris (2004) and by his son Cary (2011). Survived by his daughter Karen (late Greg Clark 2012), Blaine (Tanya) and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carson drove professionally until 1996 for many transportation companies including Texaco, Labatt and the London Transit Commission. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Carson are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society.
MCLEAN, H. Bruce
McLEAN, H. Bruce – passed away suddenly at the age of 66 on Tuesday, December 31st, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Dawn Potter McLean for 47 years. Father to Douglas (Laura), Darcy (Cheryl) and loving grandfather to seven; Anthony, Holli, Salem, Aidan, Ella, Joshua and Melissa. Survived by his mother Nancy J. McLean, brother John McLean, both of Sutton, Ontario and sister Susan Faulkner of Victoria, BC. Bruce will be missed dearly by numerous family and friends. Bruce was a quirky warm soul who loved camping, bonfires, fishing, wine and oldies music. A huge hole is left in our hearts and the pines on the farm that he loved so much have never seemed so quiet. A celebration of his life was held on Sunday, January 5, 2013 at the Nairn Mennonite Church Ailsa Craig, ON. Donations to CARDIAC CARE at the London Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated.
MINARSKY, Montana Kid – Montana left us on November 3rd, 2014. The family had a quiet family funeral and there was no service. Montana was a unique person. When he wasn’t in uniform he could be seen wearing his western gear and Stetson. He first came to London Transit as Walter Minarsky and due to his love of all things western he officially changed his name to Montana Kid. Montana leaves behind his son Michael and his daughter Allanah.
Morningstar, David Garth
September 5, 1945 – September 14, 2017
Dave passed away on Thursday September 14, 2017, at 72 years old, after a valiant 4 year battle with cancer. David went by many names: Son to Lois (nee Tardiff) and Norman, who he has now reunited with. Loving husband to Dennice (nee Ernteman) for 40 years. Caring Dad to Mindy (Rob), Sherry (Michael) and Tammy (Chris). Dave also had three biological daughters, Leanne, Lori and Lynette. Proudest Papa to Shelley, Adam (Alyssa), Kristin, Richard (Roxanne), Alix, Matthew, Alyssa, Abigail, Gabby, Emma, Issac, Zoe, Mackenzie, Carter and Sinclair. Great-Grandpa of baby Atticus. And, finally, Chuckles to everyone else who knew him. The name started with the Huff-n- Puff Hockey League, and carried on in his life long career at the LTC (London Transit Commission).
A very heartfelt ‘Thank You’ to the health care professionals who cared for Dave. Thank you to Dr. Michael Sanatani and R.N. Julie Garrett who treated Dave like family. Dr. Maria Parent and R.N. Eva were amazing at caring for him while he was home. Finally Thank you to the Palliative Care team C6-200 at Victoria Hospital for keeping him comfortable in his final days.
Visitation will be held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 1997 Dundas St. E. (at Wavell) on Wednesday September 20, 2017 from 4-5 PM with a Memorial service to follow immediately in the chapel at 5PM for those who wish to stay. MUNDAY, William “Bill” Arthur – Sadly, we wish to announce the passing of Bill on November 6, 2015 after a courageous fight with cancer. Loving husband for 43 years of Chyleen (Coates). Survived by his children Debbie Dibsdale, Brenda Dibsdale, Courtney (Ryan) Hern, Brett (Alissa) Munday and his siblings brother Richard and sister Gwen. Joining father (Alfred), mother (Ethel) and big sister (Dorothy) already in heaven. He leaves behind his grandchildren Ian, Kian and Niamh. Bill worked for over 47 years at the London Transit Commission (741 Amalgamated Transit Union). At Bill’s request there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has already taken place.
